The concept behind this project baffled me for the longest time. Time out of the temporal concept is time without time. The only place, existence, without time is eternity. That made me think of death and how it rips us out of our standard notion of time. Time may not end at death, but it certainly ends at eternity. Death can be said to be the gateway by which most humans step into the gateway to eternity. Death often snatches us out of this world at a time we did not expect. The grim-reaper is often seen by popular culture as the usher of an individual from this world into the next. I chose this pop-culture symbol because it is well recognized and the easiest way to represent death.

The first image is of me and the reaper, played by my father. I am falling off a bridge and about to die. The reaper is waiting at the bottom to welcome me into death. Funny story- I really nearly got badly hurt doing this shot. My Dad had to run up and pull me up because that was a 10-15 drop on to sand and rocks. That would have hurt. My mom pushed the shutter button by the way because I can not affair a remote release.

Image two attempts to capture the infamous "touch of death". The reaper played by my Dad touches the unexacting lady, played by my Mom, as to say, its time.

The third images is simply the reaper creeping out his victim.

The fourth image is the reaper saying "you".

The fifth image is the reaper standing ominously over a dying individual while he or she looks up at him through dying eyes.
